The biggest feature of the STK681 products is that their peak output current is higher than that of the competition. In the absence of onsemi products, the higher current designs can be done with discrete devices, but these modules comprise a better solution. onsemi recommends that, wherever possible, these discrete devices be changed to the HIC devices, shown why in later slides.
