The next step is to set the system gain, as shown on this slide. Target gain is the desired system gain, actual gain is the closest gain to target possible with the currently selected resistor tolerances. Node voltages, feedback resistor values, noise and distortion are automatically recalculated, oscilloscope displays are redrawn automatically to reflect changes. The DiffAmpCalc interprets the gain as the ratio of output voltage to open circuit source voltage. Gain and gain resistor values are held constant, feedback resistor and termination resistor values are automatically adjusted to match the target gain.
