DiffAmpCalc Overview Slide 5

Three types of fully differential amplifiers are modeled, the schematics shown in the DiffAmpCalc™ change automatically with amplifier selection. Shown on the left side of this slide are the resistor configurable types, which are characterized by four external resistors. The differential gain of the diff-amp is the ratio of Rf to Rg, in the balanced configuration only. System gain and Rg are user specified, Rf and termination resistors are calculated by the tool if terminated topology is used. Shown below the diagram are diff-amps of this type that are currently in the database. The center diagram on this slide is the preset internal gain amp. In the preset gain amp all resistors are built-in; some are selectable values, some are preset values. Connections for selectable gain are shown, the internal resistor values are not shown. The diff-amps currently in the database are shown below the diagram. The buffered input amp is shown on the right. This type of amp has a high input impedance and gain is set by selecting one external resistor. Below the diagram is shown the diff-amp in this category that is currently in the database.
