DiffAmpCalc Overview Slide 4

The DiffAmpCalc uses parametric models derived entirely from datasheet specifications and plots. Diff-amp calculations match manual calculations when data is taken from the datasheet specification pages or picked from datasheet plots. Worst case datasheet values are used to ensure proper functionality when implemented. Parameters not specified in datasheets are extrapolated based on datasheet values. Oscilloscope plots shown closely resemble actual waveforms in the flat frequency band of the amplifier, applicable in the flat band of frequency response. Peaking and slew rate limited response are not modeled. Noise and distortion calculations are optimized for high speed ADCs. Calculations assume 2 Volts peak-to-peak differential output into 200Ω differential output load, regardless of the load settings and calculated output voltages. Output noise, THD, SNDR and ENOB are calculated based on the signal frequency entered. Noise and distortion calculations are optimized for 2Vp-p differential outputs into a 200Ω differential load.
