DiffAmpCalc Overview Slide 3

In the output load menu box the choices include no output load, “none”, differential, GND or voltage referenced. Output load increases power dissipation and affects distortion. This effect is not modeled, distortion calculations always assume a 200Ω differential output load. The middle area of the display shows the differential amp schematics and oscilloscope displays at the input(s) and the diff-amp input and output terminals. Left click on an oscilloscope display to zoom in, right click to zoom out. Adjust voltages in set steps by clicking on the arrows on either side of a voltage box or by clicking on a voltage box and entering a value using the keyboard. Calculations are immediate, it is not necessary to use the ENTER key. The bottom area of the display shows the bandwidth, noise and distortion calculations. Noise density component values are shown on the left, a pie chart representation is depicted on the right and shown in the center section are the output noise and distortion calculations. Click on any one of the noise density component values on the left side to highlight the corresponding pie segment on the right side.
