With the optional I²C interface, designers can program not only the phase delay, but also program the assertion polarity to the enable pin and the synchronization pin. Also, on a dynamic basis only, margin the output which can be useful while developing a design. In addition, there is fault telemetry that can be read back via the I²C line. Giving the designer the ability to report on multiple faults including: Overtemperature protection, Fast current limit, Output voltage high, Input overvoltage, Input undervoltage, and Controller VCC undervoltage.
