The key electrical parameters of the SPIRIT1 are listed on this slide. The operating voltage of the SPIRIT1 range, from 1.8 V up to 3.6 V, allows the device to be operated with batteries. Operating temperature is in the industrial range, from -40°C to 85°C. Power consumption in the shutdown mode is as low as 2.5 nA. In this configuration, only the external microcontroller can wake up the device. In the sleep mode there are two functionalities, sleep mode with and without the internal timer. Power consumption is only 850 nA during the sleep mode with the timer, and 600 nA without. While in the reception mode, SPIRIT1 has a power consumption of 9 mA; in transmit this increases to 21 mA (with output power at 11 dBm) and 6 mA, for example, if the output power is -8 dBm. Another important parameter of the device is the sensitivity, which is -118 dBm for the SPIRIT1. The package is a QFN20 4 mm x 4 mm.
