The LTC2983 can be used by itself or in conjunction with an LTC2983 demo board. Either way, users can create, save, load and check LTC2983 configurations. Connection to an LTC2983 demo board allows users to run the LTC2983 and evaluate any sensors of their choice. It only takes a couple of minutes to set a couple of options using pull-down menus. This screenshot shows five thermocouples sharing a single cold junction diode on input 6, their output voltages and their corresponding temperature readings. Measurements can be exported to excel, while configurations, written in C-code, can be exported and developed further using Linduino if desired. Otherwise, the C-code is easily ported to other platforms and transferred into the application’s microprocessor or ASIC.
