PowerVerter APS Inverter Chargers Slide 17

Users invest a significant amount of money in their battery systems, and Tripp Lite APS inverter/chargers protect their investments with battery-saving features. Most competitors’ models feature inverter components that are always on (and using battery power) regardless of whether connected equipment is turned on or not. Select APS inverter/charger models, however, include a battery charger conserver (also called a “load sensing”) dial, which shuts off the inverter components (saving battery power) when connected equipment is off and not in use. When connected equipment is turned on, the APS inverter/charger automatically turns on its inverter components, without requiring user intervention. Users set the dial to adjust the sensitivity of the unit to different wattage load levels. There are two general types of batteries users connect to their inverter/chargers: “wet” cell or “gel” cell. Some competitors’ inverter/chargers do not accommodate differences in battery type, leading to potential battery degradation or damage in the long run. Tripp Lite APS inverter/chargers, on the other hand, allow users to select which type of battery they are connecting in order to optimize operation and extend the life of the battery system.
