The advantages of Würth Elektronik Power Elements are the high current capability and extremely low contact resistance of 100-200 µΩ of the entire press-fit zone. Additionally, due to the press-fit technology and the design of the Power Elements, the product offers a safe and absolutely rugged wire-to-board connection solution with no thermal load. Also, because the Power Elements are pressed in, cold solder joints are impossible. If press-fit technology cannot be used in the customers application, the Power Elements can also be soldered to the PCB.
