TCR5AM series is suited for the application which needs high current and low dropout. Therefore, the designer should confirm the output current and voltage needed in the matrix shown on this slide when selecting an LDO. In other words, if an application needs less than 300 mA of current, consider using other series at first, as the 500 mA series may be overkill for the application. The lower current families can be less expensive, less noisy, and have lower quiescent current values.
