Often, electronic designers do not take thermal design into account appropriately from the beginning. This is due to the lack of understanding about thermal resistance and the heat dissipation mechanism by electronic engineers who most often focus mainly on the electrical aspect of the design. The results are often catastrophic and found too late in the project stage.
