This family of regulators allows the operating frequency to be set from 50kHz to 600kHz via external resistors. Features include a wide input voltage (3.5V to 36V), a broad operating temperature range (-40°C to 125°C), and the ability to synchronize with an external clock using the external synchronization pin. In the case of stop-start vehicles, normal operation is required even during severe voltage drops from conventional cranking voltage, so an internal P-channel MOSFET capable of 100% duty cycle is used.
