KW41Z-Slide4

The KW41Z processor family is based on an ARM Cortex-M0+ core running at 48MHz; with nine low-power modes, it makes it easier to optimize for power restricted applications. It features an integrated buck-boost DC/DC converter, supporting a wide range of operating voltages from 0.9V to 4.2V, which significantly reduces the peak current in receive mode down to 6.8mA and transmit down to 6.1mA, providing a portable, battery power solution without adding more components. At the same time it delivers an excellent link budget that ensures a long range of communication and high immunity to interference. Multi-protocol support allows the system to concurrently participate in two networks, such as Thread and BLE, eliminating the need for multiple radios, reducing system complexity and ultimately cost. Robust enablement package that includes the BLE Host Stack, BLE Mesh, Generic FSK, Thread, 802.15.4 MAC and Simple MAC (SMAC) software protocol stacks, RTOS, Kinetis Software Development Kit (KSDK) and development tools from KDS and IAR.
