mode burst
The other of the two selectable operation modes of the PMP is Burst Fire Control. Burst Fire Control is a time proportion technique that uses full AC cycles, precisely controlling the number of on AC cycles within a fixed overall series of cycles. The PMP uses a 20 cycle base and varies the number of on cycles to vary the average power supplied to a load. Zero Cross burst fire uses nothing but full AC cycles and by only turning on at the zero crossing voltage point, it minimizes the conductive and radiated electrical noise often associated with Phase Angle Control. As for the word distributive, unique software algorithms written into the software of the internal microprocessor are used in the PMP burst control to evenly space out the on cycles over the 20 cycle base.
