The second criteria to cover is steady state current. In this example the efficiency of the transformer is 90% and the ambient temperature is 80°C.  With this it is possible to determine the steady state current. Steady state current is equal to the KVA divided by the efficiency and the minimum input voltage multiplied together. For this example 2.0KVA is divided by 0.7 multiplied by 90V which equals 31.75 A. Using the de-rating curve at 80°C, and 90% of the maximum rated steady state current, this equals 0.9 multiplied by 36A, or 32.4A.
