Advantech is seeing rapid growth and adoption of edge artificial intelligence (AI) in many different embedded applications, including smart cities, robotics and AI for IoT. Todays cities are busy environments with many moving parts and are constantly changing. For these reasons, many municipalities are improving their infrastructure to provide insights and act based on what is happening on an hourly and daily basis. They are adopting AI to solve problems including traffic management, optimized traffic flow, and pedestrian and cyclist safety. The second area is robotics. This market is seeing a major evolution and an increase in deployment and the development of many different robots for structured and unstructured environments with many being fully autonomous.
