The series WL-SMCW includes the standard package sizes 0603, 0805 and 1206, giving the customer many opportunities to find the ideal LED. A total of 21 standard LED's are in this series, covering a variety of colors, and resulting in possibilities for many different end applications. This is because of the high reliability, the low current requirements and the different packages sizes. This makes it perfect for general lighting, backlighting for mobile and portable devices, and optical indicators. The WL-SMCC series is new in Würth Elektronik's portfolio. The miniature compact package is the mark for the series, existing with two package sizes: 0402 and 0603. The 0402 is the smallest SMD package, at 1.0mm x 0.4mm. The standard footprint and 0.4mm height makes the LED very suitable for any application in small portable mobility devices. The new 0603 compact package, with a height of only 0.2mm is the thinnest Chip LED standard on the market. This means that it‘s a very small package with exceptional intensity. In addition to the WL-SMCC series, the WL-SMCD series is also new, with its flat version of the 0603 standard package with diffused lens.
