To achieve low power, the SimpleLink devices offer multiple power optimized use cases. Based on the needs of a project, TI has two main power use cases that will minimize a user’s products’ current consumption: Always connected and intermittently connected. For Always connected a device will maintain the Wi-Fi connection while in low power deep sleep mode. For intermittently connected, the device will be in hibernate mode until a trigger will cause it to reconnect immediately to the network. These 2 power schemes can be combined and optimized in the application based on the product needs.
