Samtec also offers a variety of standard rugged, power interconnect strips. These standard interconnects are rated between seven and eight amps per contact while the high power interconnects are rated at eight amps or more per contact. Typical configurations are through hole, surface mount, or right angle with several one piece interfaces also available. The one piece interface’s main benefit are the rugged screw downs that attach the boards together for high shock high vibration applications. One piece interfaces also have the added benefit of a low-profile and are generally more cost-effective. Combination power and signal interconnectors are also offered as standard interconnects with locking clips, alignment pins, and screw downs being common additions.
