ISL8215M-Slide11

In summary, by integrating most of the necessary discrete components in a single package, the ISL8215M provides the benefits of a more compact design, leading to increased power density; and a simplified design, leading to shorter development time. The ISL8215M operates over a 7V to 42V input voltage range, delivers up to 15A of continuous current and is perfectly suited to generate the common intermediate bus rails such as 5V/3.3V and 12V voltage rails. A valley current mode PWM control scheme provides fast transient response and loop stability. The ISL8215M can also be synchronized with an external clock signal up to 1MHz and features enable and power good (PG) signals to allow for power sequencing. Protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), thermal, overcurrent or short-circuit, and overvoltage protection.
