ISSI Matrix LED Drivers | DigiKey Daily

The third generation in the ISSI family of matrix LED drivers supports more LEDs, includes detection and reporting of LED open or short faults, and simplifies RGB LED support. The IS32FL3738 is a general purpose 6-by-8 LEDs matrix driver with one-twelfth cycle rate. The IC can be programmed via an I2C compatible interface. Each LED can be dimmed individually with 8-bit by 4 PWM data, allowing for 512 steps of linear dimming. This device accepts input voltages ranging from 2.7 volts to 5.5 volts, has eight current source outputs for row control, and six switch current inputs for column scan control. Typical applications include white goods appliances, small backlighting, and automotive applications, such as automotive clusters, dashboards and automotive interiors.
