Harwin Sycamore Contacts | DigiKey Daily
Harwin Sycamore contacts are single-piece, SMT contacts that are ideal for use with sensors, modules with odd-form termination layouts, or components that can’t tolerate exposure to the high temperatures of soldering processes. The contacts are inserted through a hole in the PCB, balancing on two SMT contacts until soldered, and they support automated assembly. Sycamore Contacts are gold plated for lower contact resistance, have three points of contact to ensure signal continuity, and offer 500 mating cycles. The contacts are rated for current up to 6 A and are available in two sizes to support pins from 0.8mm to 1.5mm. Top and bottom entry designs allow for design flexibility, and the open design of the contacts accommodates extra long pins.
