Material Description Kool Mµ®, also known as sendust, is an economical low loss material with high saturation (10,500 gauss) Kool Mµ® MAX takes low core loss Kool Mµ material and enhances with 50% better DC bias performance for better handling. Kool Mµ® Hƒ powder cores are optimized for frequencies 200-500 kHz and exhibit approximately 35% lower losses compared to standard Kool Mµ®. XFlux cores offer an economical high saturation (1.6 Tesla) solution for use in low and medium frequency inductors and chokes. High DC Bias XFlux® cores offer the same high saturation found in standard silicon-iron XFlux while providing up to 20% improvement in DC bias. XFlux® Ultra cores offer the same high saturation found in standard silicon-iron XFlux while providing a 20% improvement in core loss. High Flux cores have saturation flux density that is three times or more that of ferrite. As a result, High Flux cores can support significantly more DC bias current or AC flux density. Edge® cores offer exceptional performance, with approximately 40% lower losses and 30% improvement in DC bias compared with High Flux. High DC Bias Edge cores offer the best DC bias performance of all alloy powder cores, up to 20% improvement compared to standard Edge®. MPP cores possess many outstanding magnetic characteristics, such as high resistivity, exceptionally low losses, and excellent inductance stability after high DC magnetization or under high DC bias conditions.
