TM8 Series: High Reliability Tantalum Capacitors

This module will introduce the TM8 series of high reliability, low DC leakage, tantalum chip capacitors and explains their main features including their advanced package design. It will also highlight several important design considerations in medical, military, and aerospace applications. It will then introduce the negative effects of direct current leakage (DCL) in portable medical applications. Finally, it will review solutions to DCL problems using tantalum capacitors and highlight reliability screening for military/aerospace applications.
