NXP's AEC Q100 Grade 2 qualified automotive PMIC supports their i.MX 93 processor

Image of NXP's PCA9452 AEC Q100 Grade 2 Qualified Automotive PMICNXP's PCA9452 is a single-chip power management IC (PMIC) designed to support the i.MX 93x processor family in automotive applications. It provides six high-efficiency step-down regulators, five LDOs, one 400 mA load switch, a two-channel level translator, and a 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator driver. Three buck regulators support dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) along with programmable ramping up and down time. The buck regulators support remote sense to compensate IR drop to load from the buck regulator, allowing better performance to meet the demand for accuracy in critical supply rails. The PCA9452 is characterized across a -40°C to +105°C ambient temperature range and qualified by AEC Q100 Grade 2 for automotive applications.

The PCA9452A-EVK evaluation kit is intended for the engineers involved in the evaluation, design, implementation, and validation of this single power management integrated circuit.

The evaluation board provides full access to all the features of the PCA9452 device.

    • The PCA9452 is offered in a 56-pin HVQFN package (8 mm x 8 mm, 0.5 mm pitch)
  • Integrated I²C level translator
    • The PCA9452 integrates a logic translator which is a two-bit, dual-supply translating transceiver with auto-direction sensing. It enables bidirectional voltage level translation. It can be used as an I²C level translator. The 400-mA load switch supplies 3.3 V of power to the SD card which has an internal discharge resistor.
