Image of Gaia Converter's MGDDI-20 Series DC/DC Converter Gaia Converter's MGDDI-20 series ultra-wide input DC/DC power modules are designed for distributed power architectures where variable input voltage for multiple battery and transient are prevalent, making them ideal for transportation and railway applications. Standard models are available with a permanent ultra-wide input voltage range of 12 V to 160 V, fully compatible with 24 V, 28 V, 36 V, 72 V, 110 V, and 125 V bus applications. Dual isolated outputs with a trim of 2 V x 5 V, 2 V x 12 V, 2 V x 15 V, and 2 V x 24 V bring flexibility to obtain outputs from 4 V to 53 V.

The modules include a soft-start, an input undervoltage lock-out, a permanent short-circuit protection, and an output overvoltage limitation to ensure efficient module protections. The soft-start allows current limitation and eliminates inrush current during start-up. The automatic shutdown feature completely protects the modules against short-circuits of any duration by a shut-down and restores to normal when the overload is removed.
